Tencent-affiliated company Supercell fully acquires the developer of "Merge Mansion"

On October 19, Tencent-affiliated game company Supercell completed the full acquisition of Finnish casual game developer Metacore. Public information shows that Supercell officially announced the completion of the full acquisition of Metacore, and the "Merge Mansion" development team has formally merged into Supercell. In fact, Supercell had long been a major shareholder of Metacore, having previously invested a cumulative total of approximately 180 million euros, equivalent to approximately RMB 1.350 billion. In May of this year, Supercell first disclosed its intention to acquire, signed the final agreement on August 31 and announced it in early September, and the transaction was officially completed on October 19. It is reported that Supercell is a Finnish game company indirectly controlled by Tencent. Although it belongs to the Tencent camp, the team has a high degree of business autonomy, with product R&D and external mergers and acquisitions independently decided by the local Finnish management.
