Sino Geophysical announced that its wholly-owned overseas subsidiary, Smart Oil, as the operator of the South China Sea Contract Area 22/05, has completed all drilling, mud logging, wireline logging, and formation testing operations for the WZ10-11W-1Sa well it deployed. The well was drilled to a total depth of 1,952 meters and encountered two relatively thick oil-bearing sequences: clastic rocks of the Changliu Formation and Carboniferous carbonate rocks. Both oil-bearing zones tested commercial oil flows. The Carboniferous buried hill test produced 140.1 cubic meters of oil per day and 3,999 cubic meters of gas per day; the upper member of the Changliu Formation test produced 10.4 cubic meters of oil per day and 1,250 cubic meters of gas per day. Drilling expenditures for this well have been temporarily capitalized and will have no impact on the Company's operating results for 2026. The contract area is still in the exploration phase, and subsequent development remains uncertain.
