Applying for a degree with practical achievements is an urgent need for the current reform and development of graduate education. The Office of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council recently issued the "Opinions on Doing a Good Job in Professional Degree Graduate Students Applying for Degrees with Practical Achievements," which, building on the earlier practice of engineering master's and doctoral students applying for degrees with practical achievements, promotes pilot programs in five professional degree categories.
