U.S. Vice President Vance warned that Iran is trying to cut off global energy supplies and predicted that gasoline prices will fall once the war ends. Vance said: "We have never faced a situation like this, where Iran is trying to completely choke off global energy supplies." He offered the view that if U.S. forces withdraw and Iran is allowed to control shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, gasoline prices will rise sharply. He said: "Once this conflict ends, we will see oil prices come back down."
