The Ministry of Water Resources and the China Meteorological Administration jointly issued a blue meteorological warning for flash flood disasters at 18:00 on October 18: It is expected that from 20:00 on October 18 to 20:00 on October 19, local flash flood disasters may occur in southern Anhui, southern Henan, northeastern and southwestern Hubei, southeastern Chongqing, northern Guizhou, and other places. Other areas may also experience flash flood disasters caused by localized short-duration heavy rainfall. All localities are requested to pay attention to and carry out preventive work such as real-time monitoring, flood control warnings, and evacuation and avoidance. The National Meteorological Center continued to issue a blue warning for strong winds at 18:00 on October 18: It is expected that from 20:00 on October 18 to 20:00 on October 19, some areas in eastern Xinjiang, most of Inner Mongolia, western and northern Liaoning, western Jilin, central and southern Heilongjiang, most of Qinghai, northern Shanxi, northern Hebei, most of Tibet, and other places will have winds of force 5 to 7, with gusts of force 8 to 9; some sea areas of the Bohai Sea, Bohai Strait, and the northern and central Yellow Sea will have winds of force 7, with gusts of force 8 to 9.
