Taiwan's tourism authorities' latest statistics show that from January to August this year, Taiwan residents made a total of 2.492 million visits to the mainland, up 19.63% year on year, indicating that cross-strait personnel exchanges have maintained a considerable scale and shown a growth trend. The statistics show that from January to August this year, the mainland remained the second-largest destination for outbound travel by Taiwan residents. Monthly data show that from March to August, visits to the mainland exceeded 300,000 in each single month, with double-digit year-on-year growth in every month. Among them, visits to the mainland in March rose 32.34% year on year.
