The International Olympic Committee announced on its official website on the 16th local time in Lausanne that it will comprehensively shift its stakeholder engagement model from a committee model to a working group model. As an important measure of the "Fit for the Future" reform promoted by President Coventry, 12 non-institutional committees will be abolished. The International Olympic Committee stated that after more than a year of consultation and review, including soliciting opinions from members of various committees, the IOC believes that working groups with clear terms of reference are an effective and flexible mechanism for formulating policies and supporting decision-making, enabling stakeholders to participate in a more targeted manner.
