JinkoSolar CTO Jin Hao: Solar module prices expected to fall another 50% over the next five years

On October 17, at JinkoSolar's 2026 Global Technology Day, Jin Hao, Chief Technology Officer of JinkoSolar, stated that the price of photovoltaic modules has fallen by more than 95% cumulatively over the past 20 years and is expected to fall by another 50% in the next five years. He pointed out that the traditional cost-reduction path is coming to an end, and future cost reduction will be driven mainly by technological innovation, the application of base metals, and AI-enabled intelligent cost reduction.
