The National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center issued a yellow storm surge warning and a blue wave warning.

The reporter learned from the Ministry of Natural Resources that, under the combined influence of a cyclone and cold air, a storm surge of 60 to 110 centimeters will occur along the northern coast from Dandong in Liaoning to Weihai in Shandong; it is expected that on the afternoon of October 17, moderate to rough waves of 2 to 3.5 meters will occur in the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea; moderate to rough waves of 1.5 to 2.5 meters will occur in the coastal waters of Liaoning, Hebei, and eastern and southern Shandong. The National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center has issued a blue wave warning and a yellow storm surge warning. Vessels operating in the above sea areas are requested to pay attention to safety, and relevant coastal units are requested to take measures in advance to prevent and avoid waves.
