Harvard University's annual financial report released on Thursday local time shows that the university's endowment grew 27.1% in fiscal year 2026, marking its strongest investment return performance in five years. The fund's total size is now close to $68 billion. Harvard Chief Financial Officer Ritu Kalra and Treasurer Timothy Barakett wrote in the annual report: "This return will strengthen the endowment's ability to support the university's development over the long term. Strong investment returns will gradually provide support for Harvard University's various endeavors through future fund distributions." In its second-quarter 13F holdings report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Harvard University disclosed that it holds a stake in SpaceX valued at $2.2 billion, which is the endowment's largest single holding by market value, followed by TSMC, with a holding value of slightly less than $350 million.
