Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said customer demand for AI chips continues to outstrip the company's supply capacity. In an interview on the "BG2" podcast released Thursday, Huang revealed that new orders are pouring in "almost weekly, even daily," adding, "We keep increasing supply, and order volumes keep growing." Large cloud service providers, emerging AI cloud operators, and equipment manufacturers have all placed substantial orders. Huang said customers forecast demand at least a year in advance, with the largest customers planning as far as two years ahead. However, the capacity Nvidia allocates to these customers falls far short of their actual demand. Huang said power shortages, unfinished data centers, and manufacturing components are also constraining how quickly the company can scale supply.
