Lei Ping attended the Special Training Course on Medical Device Standards Innovation and High-Quality Development

From October 14 to 15, Lei Ping, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Commissioner of the National Medical Products Administration, attended the special training course on medical device standards innovation and high-quality development in Shijiazhuang and delivered a speech. Lei Ping fully affirmed the achievements made in medical device standardization work and emphasized the need to earnestly implement the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and to deeply grasp the great significance of medical device standards work; to implement the new round of standards improvement action plan, advance pre-standardization research in frontier key areas, and further strengthen the leading and supporting role of standards; to enhance the level of standards internationalization with more practical measures, and to help Chinese medical device products go global through standards connectivity. Heads of the Medical Device Registration Department and the Medical Device Standard Management Center introduced key work progress and follow-up measures. Heads of nine provincial medical products administrations, heads of provincial medical device testing institutions, and chairpersons of various standardization technical committees participated in the training. Lei Ping also conducted on-site research on medical-engineering translation and innovative R&D at medical institutions and medical device enterprises.
