Moderate upward trend: China's road logistics freight price index rebounded month-on-month in September.

The China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing today released the September China Highway Logistics Freight Rate Index. The index rebounded month-on-month, seasonal influencing factors gradually weakened, the highway logistics market became more active, and freight rates rose moderately. In September, the China Highway Logistics Freight Rate Index stood at 105.1 points, up 0.14% month-on-month and up 0.06% year-on-year. By vehicle type, the full-truckload freight rate index, which is mainly for bulk commodities and regional transport, stood at 105.7 points, up 0.15% month-on-month and up 0.06% year-on-year. Overall, the indices for all vehicle types rebounded month-on-month and trended upward steadily year-on-year. By region, the market showed structural changes, with capacity tightness emerging in some regions toward the end of the month.
