The China Association for Science and Technology recently released the "Guiding Opinions on Strengthening Science Popularization Work of Provincial Science Associations and Enhancing Grassroots Science Popularization Capacity," which explicitly promotes prefecture-level administrative regions to coordinate and utilize idle venues to accelerate the construction of science and technology museums, aiming to basically achieve full coverage of prefecture-level science and technology museums during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period. To comprehensively enhance grassroots science popularization capacity and strengthen the provincial-level coordinating role in the science popularization work system, the opinions put forward 17 measures in areas including strengthening the supply of high-quality science popularization resources, improving the service quality and effectiveness of science popularization venues, reinforcing grassroots science popularization services, building strong science popularization organizations and talent teams, and strengthening safeguards for science popularization work.
