On October 14, Ling Ji, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative, and Yuri Chebotar, Minister of Economy of Belarus, co-chaired in Beijing the 10th Meeting of the Economic and Trade Cooperation Sub-Committee of the China-Belarus Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee and the 16th Meeting of the Coordination Working Group on the China-Belarus Industrial Park. Ling Ji said that the successful meeting between the heads of state of China and Belarus in June this year drew up a new blueprint for cooperation in various fields. In recent years, bilateral trade has continued to grow, investment and economic and technological cooperation have been steadily advanced, and the potential of connectivity has been continuously unleashed. It is hoped that both sides will continue to expand imports from Belarus of potash fertilizer and other specialty products, make good use of the benefits of the China-Belarus Agreement on Trade in Services and Investment, explore cooperation in emerging fields such as the digital economy and artificial intelligence, and ensure the stable and efficient operation of the China-Europe Railway Express. China suggests that Belarus optimize the business environment of the China-Belarus Industrial Park, improve preferential policies and the park's supporting facilities and services, and promote the sustainable development of the China-Belarus Industrial Park. Chebotar said that Belarus attaches great importance to cooperation with China, is willing to promote both the volume and quality of bilateral trade, strengthen communication and exchanges on investment policies, and push for more outcomes in bilateral cooperation in trade in services, investment and artificial intelligence. Belarus will introduce a new presidential decree on the China-Belarus Industrial Park as soon as possible to provide policy support for enterprises in the park, and welcomes more Chinese enterprises to settle in the industrial park. After the meeting, the two sides signed the meeting minutes.
