On October 14, according to miHoYo's legal department, the final verdict has recently been reached in the trade secret infringement case involving the leak of undisclosed characters and event information from Genshin Impact's offline test. The court of second instance rejected the appeal and upheld the first-instance judgment, ruling that tester Jin infringed on trade secrets and ordering him to stop the infringement and pay miHoYo a total of 500,000 yuan in economic losses and reasonable expenses. In addition, "Oaemin," as an administrator of an overseas TG channel, repeatedly lured and instigated Jin to purchase covert recording equipment and to leak information by memorization. He also obtained confidential information during the test process and, after Jin sent covert photos of the undisclosed character "Fujin," processed them with AI before releasing them in an attempt to evade investigation and accountability. Nevertheless, he was accurately identified. Litigation against Zhai, the person controlling that account, is currently being handled in a separate case.
