Zhitong Finance APP has learned that on October 13, an official from the Department of Trade in Services and Commercial Services of the Ministry of Commerce introduced the development of trade in services from January to August 2026. From January to August 2026, China's total trade in services imports and exports amounted to 5,070.16 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), a year-on-year increase of 7.9%. Among this, exports were 1,999.61 billion yuan, up 14.8%; imports were 3,070.55 billion yuan, up 3.8%. The trade in services deficit was 1,070.94 billion yuan, narrowing by 145.12 billion yuan year-on-year.
