"Buy one, get one free" costs borne by franchisees? Chagee has not yet responded.
On October 13, it was reported that the cost of drinks for Chagee's buy-one-get-one-free promotion is currently borne by franchisees, with the brand providing a certain subsidy, and franchisees saying they receive about 3 yuan in subsidy per cup. Regarding this situation, Sina Finance inquired with Chagee, but as of press time, there has been no response. According to another report, a person related to Chagee said that the claim that franchisees are footing the bill is not true. Recently, to celebrate brand ambassador Zheng Qinwen's championship victory, Chagee launched an all-day buy-one-get-one-free promotion on October 12. Subsequently, a large number of users said the brand's mini-program could not place orders normally, with the page repeatedly popping up the message "Tea friends are too enthusiastic, please try again later." In response to the mini-program access anomaly, Chagee officially responded: "We are very sorry for affecting everyone's experience. The mini-program is currently working hard to be repaired! We will strive to let everyone drink this championship celebration tea as soon as possible!" As of now, the mini-program service has returned to normal.
