Cancel 20-year Treasury issuance? Wall Street speculates: Bessent is "getting serious"!

Deutsche Bank strategist George Saravelos recently said after concluding client visits in New York that the industry is "already whispering about rumors that 20-year Treasury issuance is about to be suspended." A counterpart at Citigroup advised investors to position early, betting that 20-year Treasuries will outperform 10-year Treasuries, because the market sees the possibility of "reducing issuance, or even canceling the 20-year Treasury."
