CICC: Demand for dental restorations is growing steadily, with low penetration and structural upgrading together opening up long-term space.

CICC research report argues that the global dental medical market continues to expand, with implant systems and CAD/CAM restoration materials having become the main sub-markets in the upstream dental sector. The domestic population with missing teeth is large, but the restoration rate and implant placement density remain lower than in mature markets; centralized procurement and price governance have lowered the payment threshold for patients. The research report estimates that future industry growth will come more from the release of existing demand and the upgrading of restoration solutions toward high-value directions such as implants and all-ceramics. High-end dental zirconia powder has long been dominated by a small number of overseas manufacturers, and since 2025, supply constraints on overseas high-end powder have pushed global customers to switch suppliers. Domestic powder and ceramic block products have continued to improve in performance and are gradually extending toward mid-to-high-end specifications. It is recommended to pay attention to the dental restoration industry chain: global oral medical demand is growing steadily, and the restructuring of the material supply chain and the penetration of digital technology are driving changes in the competitive landscape of the industry chain, with Chinese companies expected to continue increasing their global share in segments such as restoration materials, digital equipment, and denture processing.
