Consumer orders rebound, China's e-commerce logistics index edges up in September.
In September, China's e-commerce logistics index stood at 111.9 points, up 0.4 points month-on-month. Among the nine sub-indices, the total business volume index, rural business volume index, inventory turnover rate index, logistics timeliness index, fulfillment rate index, satisfaction rate index, staffing index, and load factor index all rebounded in tandem, while the cost index edged down. On the demand side, the overlap of seasonal consumption and holiday spending provided a boost, with holiday gifting emerging as a new growth engine, driving growth in online orders. Demand for autumn apparel and travel gear accelerated, seasonal goods sold briskly, and the consumer electronics market heated up.
