Wang Yi Holds a Meeting with Russian Presidential Aide and Maritime Board Chairman Patrushev

Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi met with Russian Presidential Aide and Chairman of the Maritime Board Nikolai Patrushev in Beijing on December 12. Wang Yi conveyed cordial greetings from President Xi Jinping to President Putin. Wang Yi said that President Xi Jinping and President Putin maintain close communication and have guided the bilateral relations toward higher quality and greater progress. The two sides should activate the "blue engine" of China-Russia relations, contribute China-Russia strength to improving global maritime governance, and promote the building of a maritime community with a shared future. Patrushev conveyed sincere greetings from President Putin to President Xi Jinping. He said that Russia is ready to work with China to promote the building of a maritime community with a shared future and add new dimensions to Russia-China comprehensive strategic coordination.
