Huada Empyrean Liu Weiping: Coverage of domestic EDA tools has increased to 85%

At the 26th China International Industry Fair, Liu Weiping, Chairman of Huada Empyrean, stated that the overall development of the domestic EDA industry is continuously filling in the product chain, with tool coverage increasing from less than 30% to 85%, and some point tools reaching internationally advanced levels. However, it still lacks the capability to support the entire industry chain, and the performance of some tools needs further improvement. In terms of segmented application areas, the localization rate of EDA tools in the flat panel display, memory, and wafer manufacturing sectors all exceeds 50%; in addition, the coverage rate of domestic EDA ecosystem platforms for major process nodes has reached 50%, and is expected to reach 80% this year.
