Beijing police have opened an investigation into companies related to CreditEase and have taken criminal coercive measures against the actual controller and others.

The Chaoyang Branch of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau reported on October 12: Recently, the bureau has, in accordance with the law, opened an investigation into suspected illegal and criminal activities by companies related to CreditEase. At present, multiple criminal suspects, including actual controllers Tang and Zhao, have been subjected to criminal coercive measures in accordance with the law.
