Unitree Technology's Wang Xingxing: The tipping point for embodied intelligence will arrive in as soon as one to two years.
During the 26th China International Industry Fair, Wang Xingxing, founder of Unitree Robotics, said that AI technology is advancing very rapidly worldwide, with major updates every one to two months. In particular, after the release of GPT-6 some time ago, the improvement in the understanding of everyone in the embodied intelligence industry has also been very significant. "We put it on various robots to test various tasks, and the results are actually very good. Personally, I feel that the arrival of the overall critical point will still be relatively fast, possibly even within one to two years at the earliest, because when GPT-7 comes out next year, it may directly break through the embodied intelligence problem. At present, our company and other robotics companies are all conducting pilot deployments in factories. Indeed, for large-scale application at present, both generalization and efficiency still need to be further improved. But I think it is very likely to be solved in the next few years, and my personal faith in AI is increasing every year. The biggest mistake I made over the past decade or so was not believing in AI enough. For example, the deployment of commercial services may be even faster than in the industrial sector."
