Multiple data points from the 2026 China Open hit new highs.
The organizing committee of the China Open held a press conference on the 11th to announce various data from this year's tournament. Among the figures, multiple metrics, including the number of matches, spectator attendance, and commercial operation data, reached new highs. During the tournament, the total number of visitors to the National Tennis Center is expected to exceed 450,000, a year-on-year increase of 25%; among them, spectators from outside Beijing accounted for 60%, and nearly 10,000 were from overseas. For six consecutive days, single-day attendance exceeded 35,000, and on October 1 and 2, it surpassed 40,000 on both days. During the National Day holiday, the popularity of the China Open also translated into urban consumption vitality. As of now, the China Open's total ticket revenue has reached 132 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 48%, setting a record high; comprehensive consumption during the tournament is expected to exceed 55 million yuan, up 55% year on year; licensed merchandise sales revenue reached 28 million yuan, doubling from last year. According to the "Dual Olympic" 100 Events assessment data from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports, this tournament generated a direct economic impact of 2.590 billion yuan and an indirect economic impact of 6.671 billion yuan.
