It is understood that all candidates who took the test that day received an email from the IELTS customer service center of the British Council, which stated that "the IELTS computer-based test on October 10 has been canceled due to technical reasons, and your test fee will be fully refunded to your NEEA account within one working day." A reporter called the contact number of the customer service center listed in the email, and the staff confirmed that the technical failure would also affect the tests in the following two days. Candidates who had already taken part of the test on October 10 would also be unable to receive a score for this test. A staff member at the British Council test customer service center said: It is indeed the case that the notice we received here is that it had to be canceled due to a technical failure, so we are very sorry. If it were not absolutely unavoidable, we would never make such a cancellation. If you are in a hurry to register for a test, it is recommended to look at tests after the 13th. The fee for this test is already being processed for a refund, and in theory it can return to the NEEA registration account within 1 to 2 days. We have seen that the availability for the later dates is actually still quite tight. So if you are really in a hurry to register and urgently need a score, you can go ahead and register first. At the same time, we are also trying to see whether we can open more test slots for everyone.
