The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission reported on October 10 that, according to the Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Provincial Supervisory Commission: Recently, with the approval of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee, the Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Provincial Supervisory Commission filed a case for review and investigation into the serious violations of discipline and law by Wang Rongxi, former secretary of the Party Leadership Group and director of the Anhui Provincial Department of Water Resources. Upon investigation, Wang Rongxi lost his ideals and convictions, betrayed his original aspiration and mission, and resisted organizational review; ignored the spirit of the Central Eight-Point Regulation, illegally accepted arrangements for banquets and tourism activities, altered official business itineraries, and took the opportunity for tourism; violated organizational principles, concealed and failed to report personal matters, and did not truthfully explain issues when questioned in writing by the organization; failed to uphold the bottom line of integrity, illegally accepted gifts, cash gifts, and consumption cards, illegally engaged in for-profit activities, obtained large returns through private lending, and used his authority to seek benefits for relatives; and used his position to seek benefits for others in project contracting, project payment disbursement, and other aspects, and illegally accepted huge amounts of property. Wang Rongxi seriously violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, and life discipline, constituted a serious violation of duty and is suspected of the crime of bribery, and after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China did not restrain himself or stop, with serious nature and vile influence, and should be seriously dealt with. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations on Disciplinary Action of the Communist Party of China, the Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Discipline for Public Officials, after study by the Standing Committee Meeting of the Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and approval by the Provincial Party Committee, it was decided to give Wang Rongxi the sanction of expulsion from the Party; the Anhui Provincial Supervisory Commission shall give him the sanction of expulsion from public office; confiscate his illegal and disciplinary gains; and transfer his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorial organ for review and prosecution in accordance with law, with the property involved transferred together.
