A-share market dips then rebounds; institutions say market has foundation for a corrective rebound.
This week, the Shanghai Composite Index, Shenzhen Component Index, ChiNext Index, and STAR Composite Index fell by 0.74%, 1.91%, 2.93%, and 4.88%, respectively, with the coal, media, and petroleum & petrochemical industries leading the gains. On the capital front, Wind data shows that over the two trading days this week, main funds in the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock markets both saw net outflows, reflecting cautious capital sentiment. Analysts believe that the short-term market has a foundation for a corrective rebound, and trading activity is expected to pick up, though the rebound may be relatively moderate. Before the end of October, listed companies will gradually disclose their third-quarter reports, and industries with earnings support are expected to become a direction for capital allocation.
