The number of newly established funds in September hit a monthly high since 2022.
In September, the public fund issuance market was active. Data shows that 213 new funds were established in September, with total issuance shares of 104.017 billion, up 41.06% and 108.23% month-on-month, respectively. From a longer time perspective, the number of newly established funds in September not only hit a new high for the year but also reached a monthly high since 2022. "The warming of public fund issuance in September is the result of multiple factors working together," Dai Jingxia, a senior analyst at Morningstar Fund Research Center, told reporters. After a period of sustained volatility and adjustment, structural opportunities in the A-share market have gradually emerged, and investors' confidence in allocating to equity assets has somewhat recovered; at the same time, under a low interest rate environment, investors have strong demand for stable products, and bond funds and "fixed income plus" products have attracted relatively high attention, providing noticeable support for the overall issuance scale; in addition, public fund institutions actively seized the market window, and the supply of new products increased significantly.
