The National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has learned that, leveraging the superior detection performance of the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST), researchers including Han Jinlin, a research fellow at the National Astronomical Observatories, recently combined FAST radio observation data with multi-band astronomical data from optical and gamma-ray telescopes worldwide to reveal that the pulsar J0435+3233 discovered by FAST belongs to the first known primordial triple system still in the evolutionary stage. This is also the second confirmed pulsar triple system. The related research findings were published on October 9 in the international academic journal The Astrophysical Journal Letters.
