Anthropic launches cybersecurity initiative for infrastructure and software
Anthropic launches the "Anthropic Cybersecurity Mission," a long-term commitment to use its tools, research capabilities, and resources to help defenders protect critical infrastructure and open-source software. On the critical infrastructure protection front, it is launching the "Critical Infrastructure Defense Program," which will provide frontier models, embedded engineers, and threat research capabilities to defenders protecting the operational technology behind power grids, water systems, transportation networks, and government systems. On the open-source software front, it is launching OSS Scanner, which provides open-source projects with free periodic security scans performed by Anthropic's most powerful models. CIDP's founding partners include Accenture, Booz Allen Hamilton, CrowdStrike, Deloitte, Dragos, Hitachi, Insane Cyber, Nozomi Networks, Palo Alto Networks, PwC, and Rockwell Automation. Over the coming months, CIDP will expand to more partners and more industries.
