Alphabet's Google announced the launch of a "general-purpose" Gemini AI agent for enterprise office scenarios, further intensifying competition with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Microsoft in the enterprise customer market. Google said on Thursday that the AI tool can perform a variety of tasks, including answering questions, creating content, and writing code. The Gemini agent can operate across multiple Google applications such as Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Calendar. Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian said: "It can select the most suitable model based on the task, has built-in cost control mechanisms, and more importantly, it possesses the security, management, and governance capabilities that enterprises need."
