More than 60% of Hungarians support Budapest's bid to host the 2036 Olympic Games.

According to a report by the Hungarian News Agency on the 7th, a recent survey conducted by the Hungarian polling agency Median showed that 64% of respondents expressed "full support" or "somewhat support" for Budapest's bid to host the 2036 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. Andrs Hahn, general manager of Median Market and Public Opinion Research Company, introduced that this opinion poll was commissioned by the Hungarian Olympic Committee, drawing a basic sample of 1,000 respondents nationwide and adding an additional 500 respondents in the capital, Budapest. Hahn said, "We first conducted the relevant survey in the fall of 2024, and since then public support for Budapest hosting the Olympics has increased significantly, with an even larger increase this year."
