According to the Zhitong Finance APP, data from the National Immigration Administration on October 8 shows that during this year's National Day holiday, border inspection authorities nationwide facilitated a total of 15.462 million cross-border trips by Chinese and foreign nationals, averaging 2.209 million per day, an increase of 6.7% compared to the same period last year. The single-day peak for border crossings occurred on October 4, reaching 2.397 million trips. Among these, outbound trips by mainland residents totaled 4.444 million, up 9.3% year-on-year; inbound trips by foreign nationals reached 682,000, with 505,000 entering under visa-free policies, representing year-on-year increases of 5.4% and 9.2%, respectively. A total of 732,000 cross-border transportation vehicles (aircraft, ships, trains, and automobiles) were inspected, an increase of 14.7% compared to the same period last year.
