Russia claims large-scale strikes on Ukrainian military-industrial enterprises and port facilities
On October 7 local time, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that in the early hours of that day, the Russian military used high-precision weapons launched from land, sea, and air bases, as well as drones, to carry out large-scale strikes on Ukrainian targets. In Kyiv city, Kyiv Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, Kirovohrad Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Poltava Oblast, and Kharkiv Oblast, strikes targeted defense industry enterprises producing and storing "Flamingo" cruise missiles and medium- and long-range drones for the "Fire Point" company. In Odesa Oblast, strikes targeted port and ship repair infrastructure and vessels used by the Ukrainian military. Currently, the Ukrainian side has no response to this.
