According to online platform data, the total box office for the 2026 National Day holiday film season surpassed 1.1 billion yuan. On the distribution side, Chinese film and television companies have begun establishing their own overseas distribution channels and networks, with more works adopting a global perspective for precise planning from the early stages of creation. Ying Xujun, President of Huaren Film and President of Oriental DreamWorks, stated that as of now, Huaren's overall overseas distribution network has covered six continents, more than 130 countries, and over 1,000 cities worldwide. Policy support continues to increase. The 2026 National Film Bureau Directors' Conference explicitly proposed "striving to promote Chinese films 'going global,'" stating the need to expand high-level opening-up of Chinese cinema and enhance its international communication power and influence. The National Film Development Special Fund continues to reward domestic films for overseas distribution and sales, providing support based on a proportion of the revenue generated.
