AMD CEO Lisa Su plans to meet on Wednesday with Samsung Electronics semiconductor business head and Vice Chairman Jun Young-hyun. This is the latest face-to-face exchange between two key figures in the AI industry. People familiar with the matter said Su will hold talks during her visit to South Korea, but did not disclose specific details. Samsung and AMD both declined to comment. The meeting comes as the global electronics industry faces a broad shortage of memory products, an issue that is constraining the expansion of AI infrastructure and services. Memory prices have continued to surge, becoming one of the major costs for data center operators. In March this year, AMD and Samsung already reached a supply agreement for next-generation high-bandwidth memory and advanced memory chips.
