The dollar held firm, supported by market expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike and concerns over French debt, after rising to its highest level since April 2025 against a basket of currencies on Monday. Although expectations for a Fed rate hike later this month have cooled in recent sessions, LSEG data shows the market has fully priced in a 25-basis-point hike in December and expects more than three hikes next year.
