The reporter learned from China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. that October 6 is the sixth day of the National Day holiday, and railways in the Yangtze River Delta are experiencing a mid-holiday return passenger flow peak, with an estimated 3.9 million passengers expected to be sent that day. Starting in the afternoon, railway stations in Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Hefei, Ningbo, Nantong, Yancheng, and Yangzhou will see concentrated mid-holiday return passenger flows. On October 5, Shanghai Railway Group sent 3.841 million passengers. Since the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday transportation started on September 23, as of October 5, railways in the Yangtze River Delta have cumulatively sent 44.83 million passengers, with an average of about 3.448 million passengers per day.
