Human Rights Council adopts China-proposed resolution on accessibility for all
At the 63rd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council on the 5th, a resolution titled "Accessibility for the Enjoyment of Human Rights by All" proposed by China on behalf of 47 countries was adopted by consensus. Jia Guide, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other international organizations in Switzerland, said while introducing the draft resolution that accessibility development provides an important guarantee for all groups to participate equally and conveniently in social life and to fully realize all human rights. This draft resolution focuses on population aging and is committed to promoting accessibility and age-friendly development; it focuses on the opportunities and challenges brought by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, and calls on all countries to adhere to the principles of innovation, inclusiveness, openness, fairness, safety and reliability in the development and use of emerging digital technologies, and to promote accessible information exchange.
