Israeli media: Flydubai co-pilot said he planned to crash the plane into an Israeli airport terminal.
According to reports from multiple Israeli media outlets on the 4th, Hamam Hamami, the Omani co-pilot involved in the cockpit conflict incident on a flydubai passenger plane, stated during interrogation that he had originally planned to crash the aircraft into the terminal building of Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel. According to Israel's Channel 12, Hamami chose to attack the captain when the plane was flying over Jordan, with the original plan being to let the aircraft fly normally until it was about to reach Ben Gurion Airport, when Israeli military aircraft would not have time to intercept it, and then crash the plane into the airport terminal. The injured captain, at all costs, opened the cockpit door and thwarted Hamami's attempt.
