At around 3 p.m. on October 2, the sales office of a new property project on Jiangwancheng Road in Yangpu District, Shanghai, was still bustling: three or four groups of consulting clients were gathered around the scale model, the negotiation area was almost fully occupied, and homebuyers streamed one after another along the passage leading to the physical show apartment. "Today is the first day the project's live demonstration area is open. In the morning alone, it attracted more than 100 groups of visitors, and so far three villas have been sold. Although the project has uniformly withdrawn the 1% discount after the implementation of the new 'Shanghai Eight Measures' policy, customers still showed strong purchasing willingness, mainly due to optimistic expectations about the policy and confidence in the project's certainty of delivery," the project's sales manager told the Shanghai Securities News reporter.
