China's first offshore carbon injection and gas enhancement platform completes main construction.

Today, reporters learned from China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) that the main construction of the new central platform for the Dongfang 1-1 gas field, China's first offshore carbon injection and gas enhancement technology demonstration application project, has been completed and has fully entered the commissioning stage. After the project is put into operation, it can sequester more than 1 million tons of carbon dioxide in subsea geological formations each year, which is of great significance for promoting large-scale deep carbon reduction in China's marine energy industry.
