Global food prices rose again in September.
On October 2 local time, UN Secretary-General's spokesman Dujarric said at a regular press conference in New York that global food prices rose again in September. Among them, wheat prices rose to their highest level since August 2023, and corn prices reached a three-year high. Limited logistics and transportation in the Black Sea region and continued uncertainty in shipping through the Strait of Hormuz are affecting the global food market.
