On the third day of the National Day holiday, passenger flow on Yangtze River Delta railways has continued to remain at a high level. On October 3, reporters learned from China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. that today the Shanghai Railway Group is expected to send 3.72 million passengers. Since the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday transport began on September 23, as of October 2, Yangtze River Delta railways have sent a total of 33.505 million passengers, with an average of about 3.35 million passengers per day, reflecting strong travel demand. Among them, on October 1, the first day of the National Day holiday, Yangtze River Delta railways sent 4.427 million passengers, exceeding the National Day holiday transport record of 4.205 million passengers sent in a single day on October 1, 2025, setting a record high for single-day passenger volume during National Day holiday transport.
