On the 2nd local time, U.S. officials said that the U.S.-Ukraine Joint Reconstruction Investment Fund has reached its first critical minerals deal and launched four additional new projects. According to Connor Coleman, head of investment at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation, the first minerals deal will inject about $30 million into BGV Group's "joint investment platform." The platform will initially focus on early-stage mining projects across Ukraine, with the goal of extracting rare earths, uranium, beryllium, and zirconium.
