London stocks rose on the 2nd.

The UK's benchmark FTSE 100 index in London closed at 10,461.95 points on the 2nd, up 33.68 points, or 0.32%, from the previous trading day. Europe's three major stock indices all rose that day. Among the FTSE 100 constituents, the top five gainers were: hazardous materials detection company Halma, up 3.93%; mining company Antofagasta, up 3.04%; Anglo American, up 2.97%; Glencore, up 2.95%; and BT Group, up 2.86%. The top five decliners among FTSE 100 constituents were: financial derivatives trading services firm IG Group, down 22.60%; business process outsourcing company Babcock International Group, down 2.84%; advertising and media giant WPP Group, down 2.66%; Lion Finance Group, down 2.07%; and asset management company Intermediate Capital Group, down 1.78%. As for the other two major European stock indices, France's CAC 40 in Paris closed at 7,897.19 points, up 61.88 points, or 0.79%, from the previous trading day; Germany's DAX in Frankfurt closed at 25,231.20 points, up 291.85 points, or 1.17%, from the previous trading day.
