Japan decides to experimentally purchase Ukrainian drones.
Former Japanese Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera, a member of the Liberal Democratic Party, visited Ukraine and met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and others in Kyiv on October 1. According to what he told the media that day, the Japanese government "has decided to experimentally purchase" products from SkyFall, a major Ukrainian drone manufacturer. He also said that while evaluating their performance, Japan will explore what kind of cooperation the two countries can carry out in the future. It is said that the Japanese government believes that Ukrainian-made drones "have been repeatedly improved based on actual combat experience and are highly capable." In addition to the former defense minister, members of different Japanese parties have recently visited Ukraine intensively. Behind Japan's active cooperation with Ukraine lies a hidden agenda of military expansion.
