Early next year, HSBC traders will be among the first employees to move out of the current Canary Wharf headquarters; when they relocate to the new headquarters in the historic City of London, they may be in for a surprise. After working for decades on a trading floor custom-built for HSBC with double-height ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, employees will soon find that the new office environment is far more cramped.
